Christoph Schwager is a highly strategic leader distinguished by his profound expertise in operational, financial, and technological domains. His exceptional versatility is a direct result of extensive experience spanning the global corporate landscape, management consulting, entrepreneurship and the dynamic digital start-up ecosystem, all underpinned by a systemic and agile mindset.
Mr. Schwager has a proven track record of spearheading major organizational transformations, most notably at Airbus. There, he was instrumental in cultivating a high performance culture acutely aware of both opportunities and risks, a contribution critical to the company’s sustained long term success. His methodologies are renowned for enhancing strategic focus, fortifying organizational resilience, and enabling the realization of opportunities while proactively mitigating potential pitfalls. Prior to his current role, Christoph served as an EY Partner specializing in Enterprise Risk Management and as Chief Risk Officer at Airbus. His distinguished career also includes significant leadership positions at PwC and within various Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). A serial entrepreneur, he has successfully founded multiple companies and co-founded the influential think tank, beyondRM.org. Academically, Christoph holds a Diplom-Kaufmann (equivalent to an MBA) from the University of Augsburg and is a Certified Public Accountant, having completed his certification at the University of Chicago.
With over 30 years of comprehensive experience in finance, transactions and audit, complemented by more than 20 years in steering complex projects ranging from Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) to infrastructure - Christoph Schwager is widely recognized as a results-driven strategist, innovator, and astute problem-solver. He consistently achieves impactful outcomes through clarity of vision, collaborative leadership, and incisive decision making.
Verena Sturm is an interdisciplinary strategist and investor, known for her ability to translate complex, high-stakes challenges into scalable ventures and resilient capital frameworks. With over a decade of leadership across family office strategy, venture capital, and political risk, she brings a rare blend of intellectual depth, entrepreneurial clarity, and real-world execution.
As the Founding Partner & CSO of Green Vault Holding and a Co-Chair at The Water Foundation, Verena plays a pivotal role in building long-cycle investment vehicles in critical sectors such as water infrastructure, digital systems, and energy transition. Her work spans the structuring of catalytic capital, fund architecture and diplomatic engagement - often positioning capital as a tool for systemic transformation.
Previously, Verena led innovation and social impact strategy at a leading Middle Eastern policy institute, served as a trusted advisor to corporates, venture capitalists, and high-net-worth individuals, and built Avestu Capital into a respected vehicle for emerging manager selection and venture development. Her advisory experience includes clients such as Siemens SFS, DeepTech funds like Backed, and numerous impact and climate tech start-ups.
She is in the board of Chancemaker Foundation and advocates for rethinking capital markets across geographies. Academically, Verena holds advanced degrees in International Relations and PPE, and have done various lectures on Venture Finance. Her work is grounded in ethical investment principles, long-horizon thinking, and a deep belief in aligning capital with consequence.
Dr. R. Wynberg serves as our Vice President of Technology, leveraging over two decades of extensive experience in advanced scientific computing and oceanographic research. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physical Oceanography from UiT – The Arctic University of Norway, his distinguished background encompasses deep expertise in programming, scientific computation, and entrepreneurial leadership. Dr. Wynberg is uniquely positioned to drive strategic technological innovation and deliver substantial value across our organization’s critical initiatives.
Dr. Wynberg is highly proficient in advanced programming and computational methodologies, enabling the development of cutting-edge AI solutions and sophisticated simulations. His foundational work as a Research Leader, bridging complex oceanographic research with practical technological applications, now forms the bedrock of our strategic AI advancements.
With a robust track record, Dr. Wynberg excels in optimizing and managing data center operations to bolster critical research initiatives and enterprise infrastructure. His commitment ensures the sustained security, efficiency, and high performance of our data assets.
